HOW IT WORKS - DROP OFF

  • Please call or email the store for a drop-off appointment. (No time commitment required). Simply pop into the store and put your bag inside your assigned bin.

  • Bring up to twenty (20) items (seasonal appropriate clothing, footwear and accessories) All items must be in excellent resale condition, clean, freshly laundered (minimal scent) and folded neatly in a bag.

  • Label your bag with your full name, phone, email and consignor number.

  • We do not accept drop offs in bins or black garbage bags. These will be declined and returned.

  • All items must be checked for pet/cooking/tobacco/cosmetics/perfume/antiperspirant/mold/wood smoke/moth balls/toe marks and free of stains, rips, tears, pulls, pilling, scuffs, damage and complete (no missing or broken elements like belts, snaps, buttons, zippers, shredded bottoms, fading, collar marks and alterations that are not professionally done etc.) Footwear and handbags must look new, or have no visible signs of wear ie: scuffs, toe imprints, nicks or soles worn and no cracks in the leather.

  • If you choose to have your "no thank you" items donated, then you are ready to go. We will happily donate any "no thank you" items to The Kidney Foundation on your behalf.

  • If you choose to have your "no thank you" items returned, you will receive an email notification once your items have been sorted.

  • We ask that you return within two (2) business days of being notified to pick up any "no thank you" items.  Any items that go unclaimed after five (5) business days will become the property of MB Consignment Boutique and donated to The Kidney Foundation on your behalf.

  • These terms will be determined at initial appointment.


PAYOUTS

  • The consignor will receive 40% of the final selling price.

  • Please give us two (2) business days notice when requesting payment as not all volunteers are permitted to authorize payouts. For best results please contact the store before visiting.

  • We offer: cash, cheque, e-transfers or store credit payments.

  • Cash – $100 or less, in person payout.

  • E–transfers are available by request for a $3.50 processing fee deducted from the balance of the account and will be issued within two (2) business days.

  • Cheques – are available by request for a $5.00 processing fee deducted from the balance of the account and will be mailed out within two (2) business days.

  • Monies not collected within one (1) year of activity are forfeited to MB Consignment Boutique and inactive accounts will be closed.

  • MB’s reserves the right to withhold payouts without sufficient notice on these terms.


RETURNS

  • All sales are final and we do not offer returns or exchanges.

  • Please keep in mind that when purchasing pre-loved clothing, that some minor wear is common and to be expected.

  • All items have been carefully inspected for wear, flaws, missing elements, stains, rips, tears etc. however we cannot guarantee we haven’t missed something.

  • If you find something we’ve missed, please do not hesitate to reach out and we will do our best to accommodate you.


HOLDS

  • Like something you’ve seen in the store or on social media? Please call, email or message the store and we will set it aside until the end of the day.


THE FINE PRINT

  • MB’s volunteers/staff cannot/will not launder or repair your items.

  • Please make sure your items are in excellent resale condition, clean & freshly laundered, folded and meet the above requirements.

  • MB Consignment Boutique is not responsible or liable for any items left here due to loss, damage, fire, theft, accident, vandalism, natural disaster or any other cause including damage from acts of God.

  • If for any unforeseen reason MB Consignment Boutique should terminate this agreement due to closure all funds accumulated on accounts will be consumed by MB Consignment Boutique and proceeds donated to G.R.O.W. rooted in love Maternity Home.

  • Consignment contracts will be terminated for those who do not honour our consignment terms. Thank you for your understanding.


THE TERMS

  • Pricing is set at the discretion of MB Consignment Boutique based on label, condition and market demand, with a 60/40 store/consignor split on final sale price.

  • Your items will be sorted and priced within five (5) business days.

  • The consignment term is 90 days. We will make a concerted effort to sell your items at the price initially set for a 30-day period. Upon 31 days of agreement your items are reduced by 20% of the original price. Upon 61 days of your agreement your items are reduced by 50% of the original price.

  • We retain the right to reduce items to facilitate a sale at any time during the 90-day period or remove items for donation due to overflow in the store.

  • After the consignment period is over you may choose to:

    1. “Donate” unsold items – please see full guidelines in contract.

    2. “Pick Up” unsold items – please see full guidelines in contract
